$ 1.9 trillion to help economy: Congress passed Biden plan

The US House of Representatives on Wednesday, by a slight margin, approved a package of measures proposed by the head of the White House, Joe Biden, to support the economy affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

220 MPs voted for the $ 1.9 trillion anti-crisis program, while 211 voted against, Deutsche Welle reports.

Funds are expected to go towards, among other things, increasing the coronavirus vaccination program, opening schools safely, supporting small businesses, increasing child benefits and unemployment benefits.
