In the first five months of this year, 15,593,489 people arrived in Turkey, of which 14 034 175 were foreign citizens. This was reported in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey.
The remaining 1 559 314 arrived in January -May 2023 – Turkish citizens living abroad.
The indicator of arrivals to Turkey increased by 23.65 percent compared to five months of 2022.
In the first place in the growth of tourist flow is Russia, the number of citizens of which in Turkey in January-May increased by 110.12 percent. This is followed by Germany (growth of 20.75 percent), Bulgaria (11.64 percent)
more than 4.5 million foreign citizens arrived directly in May to Turkey, which is 16.19 percent more than the indicator of the same month of last year.
