16th International IDEF-2023 Exhibition Started in Istanbul

In Istanbul, the 16th International Exhibition of Defense Industry IDEF-2023.

The exhibition, which is one of the world’s largest sites to demonstrate the novelties of the military -industrial complex, will be held from July 25 to July 28 in the Tüyap exhibition center in Istanbul.

The exhibition was organized for the 16th time of the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey under the patronage of the presidential administration.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by the Vice President of Turkey Jewede Jilmaz, Minister of National Defense Yashar Guler, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatikh Kajyr and senior guests.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent a video message to the conference participants.

This year, 1461 companies from 55 countries take part in the IDEF exhibition.

IDEF is part of the four world’s largest exhibitions of defense industry in terms of the number of participating companies. In addition, IDEF stands out as the world’s largest site for negotiations between defense enterprises.

As in previous years, the new domestic defense industry will be presented within the framework of IDEF. The exhibition will also be presented by modernized versions of previously developed products of the Turkish defense industry.

The exhibition will feature combat and tactical armored personnel carriers, ground unmanned vehicles, controlled missiles, military simulators, equipment for the destruction of explosive materials and other latest developments in the field of VPK.

In particular, negotiations with delegations invited by the Ministry of National Defense, the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, the Department of Defense Industry, the command of the Ground Forces, the Air Force Command, the Main Directorate of the Gendarmerie, the Main Police Department and the Coast Guard Directorate are traditionally expected.

In addition, local and foreign companies hold various meetings on cooperation.
