The Russian delegation is headed by the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev, and the Iranian delegation is an adviser to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on international issues Ali Asgar Hadji.

The delegation from Damascus is headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign de Aiman ​​Rada, and the Syrian opposition is headed by Ahmet Tuma.

In addition to the delegation, headed by the special representative of the UN in Syria, Heir O. Pedersen, there are also representatives of the UN Supreme Commissioner for Refugees and the International Red Cross. There are also observers from Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq.

Syrian negotiations in the Astana format this time are concentrated on discussing such as efforts to achieve a comprehensive solution in the Arab Republic, the regional situation, the humanitarian situation in Syria, the measures to strengthen the sides, restore the republic and the conditions for the return of Syrian refugees. < /p>

On the first day of two -day negotiations, the delegations will hold bilateral and tripartite consulting meetings. The Turkish delegation has already held the first meeting with the Iranian delegation.

On Tuesday, on November 12, a joint meeting will be held at which the final declaration of guarantor countries will be read out.
