Social support measures in the post-free period have already covered more than 23 thousand people, including members of the family of Shekhid, veterans of the Patriotic War and their loved ones. One of these measures is to provide our veterans, wounded in the Patriotic War, rehabilitation. 25 veterans are already provided with high-tech prostheses, the process of providing another 50 veterans with prostheses is completed.
As reported by HaqQin.az in the press service of the ministry, this was stated by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sakhil Babayev at a meeting of the ministry’s board.
The Minister noted that work is underway to ensure the last generation of our veterans, which amputated the upper limbs. Specialists of the Russian representative office of the Icelandic company “Össur” were also invited, they already conducted the corresponding measurements of 32 of our veterans from this category. In the near future, they will also be provided with high-tech prostheses. Work continues on the evaluation of the disability of the Veterans of the Patriotic War on the basis of certificates submitted by military medical commissions. More than 600 veterans who received evidence was appointed disability and were scheduled for social benefits. Also in rehabilitation centers work is underway to provide veterans with social and psychological support and rehabilitation services.
S. Babaev noted that this year 205 disabled people were provided with an electric motor chairs, in general for 5 months of this year to 5 thousand people with disabilities were provided with 18 thousand rehabilitation. The Minister noted that it is of particular importance to use the possibilities of modern technologies and digitalization in the integration of persons with disabilities into society, ensuring their employment, bringing to the labor market and business activities.
At the meeting, work was discussed on the creation of the National Observatory of the survey system for the adoption of effective management decisions in the field of employment and social protection of the population, as well as the activities of the State Medical and Social Examination Agency and Rehabilitation over the past period of the current year.
