In the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, a witness was interrogated in the criminal case of the former head of the executive authority of the Imishlinsky district of William Hajiyev.
Witness Jamil Musaev said that since 2003 he worked in various positions in the executive authorities, and that the defendant of Hajiyev in his minded by the head of the district appointed him to the position of chief accountant.
“I have always registered the funds issued to me,” the witness stressed. – And all the money passed William Hajiyev. For example, 3 million manat was allocated for the construction of an administrative building of the Imishlinsky district executive, but all this money disappeared in three months. According to the witness, still working as the chief accountant in the imishlin executive authorities, there were other money that he invariably passed Willim Gagzhiev. For example, for the appointment of the head doctor in the Imishlin Central Hospital, he received a bribe of 70 thousand manat, for the appointment of the head of the Olympic Sport Complex – 10 thousand manat, etc.
Continuing to testify, the witness said that only in 2019 the district executive branch collected in the form of bribes for various “services” over four million manat. All this money was transferred to William Hajiyev.
“These were the funds that William received personally, but they were not legalized,” the witness clarified. “For me, they didn’t have the benefits at all. I did it all so as not to lose my job.”
Hajiyev did not confirm the testimony of the witness, and later his lawyer filed a petition with the requirement to attract Jamil Musaev to criminal liability:
Musaev was exactly the person who took bribes – said, in particular, in the petition of the defendant. “Nevertheless, he still works as the chief accountant.”
The petition of William Hajiyev was not satisfied.
