300 thousand Afghans poured into Turkey

Turkish President R.T. Erdogan denied the approval of a number of opposition politicians on arrival in Turkey more than 1.5 million Afghan refugees.

Turkish leader noted that, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 300 thousand migrants from Afghanistan are currently in Turkey.

“The Afghan people are a friendly Muslim people, and we are not entitled to close the borders for friends,” said Erdogan.

Turkey does everything possible to prevent illegal migration, including from Afghanistan, he added.
