31 Georgian residents diagnosed with “British strain” COVID

In Georgia, 31 people have confirmed the so-called British strain of coronavirus COVID-19, said Paata Imnadze, Deputy Director General of the National Center for Disease Control of Georgia.

“Fortunately, so far it has not become widespread in our country. In total, 31 cases have been confirmed,” Imnadze said on the air of the Georgian television company Rustavi-2, noting that the matter concerns three groups of infected, Interfax reports.

According to him, in all cases the disease was mild, and the sick were treated at home.

In Georgia, according to the Georgian Ministry of Health, 272,262 cases of COVID-19 infection have been confirmed since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,563 people have died.
