4th Meeting Of Council Of Ministers Of Energy Of Turkic States Was Held In Bishkek

In the capital of Kyrgyzstan Bishkek, the 4th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Energy of the Turkic States (OTG) was held.

According to the statement of the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, at an event organized by the Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Taalaibek Ibraev, Turkey was represented by Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Akhmet Berat Chonkar.

The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shakhbazov, the First Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan Sungat Esimkhanov, Deputy Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Bakhtier Mamatkarimov, Secretary of the Ministry of External Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Zabi, General Secretary of OSG Kubanichbek Omuraliev, Omuralieva, General Secretary of OST. as well as the ambassadors of Turkey, Hungary, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan and representatives of the observer countries.

At the 4th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Energy, the participants discussed joint activities in the energy sector within the framework of the OTG and drew attention to the goals set forth in the Nakhichevan agreement on the creation of the organization of the Turkic states, the concept of the Turkic world for 2040, the Astana declaration and the plan of action on energy cooperation for 2023-2027.

The meeting discussed the issues of strengthening cooperation in the energy sector between the countries participating in the OTG, the creation of the regional center of technology and green initiatives, the organization of annual professional skill contests among employees of the energy industry, determining the next meeting of the ministers of energy, and also considered various issues and proposals in the energy sector.

– Another step towards strengthening cooperation and interaction

In his speech, the Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Ibraev noted that today’s meeting is another step on the path to strengthening cooperation and interaction in the field of energy between the countries of the Turkic world and thanked them for their contributions and support to the joint development of the energy sector.

Ibraev suggested that the Ministry of Energy of the Turkic states take into account the possibility of diversification of energy routes and take an active part in the implementation of promising energy projects.

Participants also expressed their readiness to discuss the creation of a regional center of technology and green initiatives.

The parties noted the willingness to continue cooperation in the field of power supply and electricity exchange between countries.

The meeting ended with the signing of the final declaration.
