The production of Kaan, which has all the capabilities of the 5th generation fighter, such as high maneuverability, low radar visibility, an avionic architecture open to development, increased situational awareness, accuracy of a target and operational compatibility, began in March 2022.
The assembly of the components was completed from May to November 2022, and the final assembly line was commissioned in November 2022. After intensive system tests conducted in December 2022 and January 2023, the plane left the hangar earlier than the planned period on February 10, 2023, and on February 12, 2023, the first engine was made. On March 17, 2023, the first taxiing trials were successfully completed. In the period preceding the first flight, intensification measures necessary for the flight were carried out and pre -flight tests were completed. Kaan National Battle Aircraft made its first flight on February 21, 2024.
At the same time, the requirements for the aircraft and the configuration system were determined, which will be delivered by the Air Force command, the functions of the aircraft and the system are determined, the preliminary design stage is completed.
