8th Festival Of Turkish Cinema Opened In Bishkek

In Bishkek, the grand opening of the 8th festival of Turkish cinema, organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, Turkish Embassies in Bishkek, Kyrgyz-Turkish University “Manas” and coordination of the Association “Yerli Düşünce”.

The event was held at the Bishkek Park shopping center and collected ambassadors, representatives of public organizations, filmmakers of Turkey and Kyrgyzstan.

Turkish Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Akhmet Sadyk Dogan expressed satisfaction with the arrival of Turkish directors and actors in Bishkek, noting that cinema is a bridge of friendship and fraternity between the two countries.

General Director of the Yerli Düşünce Association, Metin Gundogd, said that at the festival, spectators will be able to see five Turkish films, including the animated film “Rafadan Tayfa 4 – Hayrimatör”.

Deputy Director of the Department of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Sports of Kyrgyzstan, Maratbek Asanaliev, emphasized the importance of the festival to strengthen cultural ties between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan.

During the event, Turkish actors and directors presented commemorative gifts and national Kyrgyz hats.

The festival started from the show “Earth minus two” (nefes: yer eksi ̇ki).

Actress Bestems Ozdemir, the performer of the role in the film “Earth minus two” (nefes: yer eksi ̇ki), noted the importance for her to participate in the festival and shared her impressions of her role.

Actress Aslykhan Karalare spoke about her experience in Turkish series and films.

as part of the festival, which will last five days, Turkish filmmakers will meet with students of the Kyrgyz-Turkish University “Manas”.
