A large German company leaves Russia

The German manufacturing company Henkel, Henkel, sells its Russian and Belarusian assets, write Russian media.

According to the concern’s reporting for the first half of 2022, the company will lose more than € 184 million. Of these, € 88 million in the form of damage to business reputation, and € 96 million in the form of lands, factories, equipment, trademarks and other intellectual property. The company expects a fall in sales and the growth of expenses for logistics and production after leaving the market of Russia and Belarus.

“We expect that further increase in selling prices in combination with strict discipline of expenses will not be enough for complete compensation (costs for materials and logistics – ed.) In the current financial year,” the report says.

The concern owns 11 plants in Russia, where they produce glue, detergents, cosmetics, personal hygiene products – almost 50 brands. Among them: Persil, Losk, “Web”, Bref, Vernel, Schwarzkopf, Gliss Kur, FA and many others.
