The first meeting of the working subgroup “Extension of the use of digital health”, created at the working group “Center for Transformation of Healthcare”, was held at the Azerbaijan Ministry of Health.
The press service of the department reported that representatives of the Ministry of Health, digital development and transport, labor and social protection of the population, as well as state agencies for compulsory medical insurance, took part in the event.
Opening the meeting, Minister of Health Teimur Musaev, head of the working group “Center for Transformation of Health” and subgroup “Expanding the use of digital health”, noted that the corresponding decree signed by the president will improve the regulatory framework in the field of health and medical insurance, increase transparency And the accountability, the development of digital health care was defined as a priority. Teimur Musaev emphasized that the proposals for the development of electronic health care should be prepared and submitted to President Ilham Aliyev within three months. For this purpose, working subgroups were created.
The head of the working group also noted that the improvement of the healthcare system is a priority for Azerbaijan: “Recently, ICT has been actively implemented in state bodies. The experience of advanced countries shows that the future health care is realized only through digitalization. Given this, the use of models of leading countries In the field of digitalization, it is of particular importance for us. Our goal is to achieve the integration of Azerbaijani healthcare into the global geoinformation system in the future. “
Teimur Musaev also noted that the appropriate work is underway to compile a dictionary of electronic health terms in Azerbaijani.
Then the opinions of members of the working subgroup on the topic were heard. After the discussions, Teimur Musaev instructed the parties to submit his proposals for the digitalization of healthcare at the next meeting.
