A new criminal case was launched against Russian oppositionist

Investigators opened a new criminal case against the public figure and opposition Vladimir Kara-Murza, on the fact of organizing the activities of the organization undesirable in Russia. This was reported to the Russian media by his lawyer Vadim Prokhorov.

According to him, his indictment has not yet been brought under this article, a decision to institute criminal proceedings neither he nor his lawyers has not yet been awarded.

“We are confident in the innocence of Kara -Murza, but we cannot form a position in the new case, since we have not yet seen its materials,” the lawyer noted, adding that under the new article, his client threatens up to four years of the colony.

Recall, on Friday, April 22, Vladimir Kara-Murza was taken to the Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia. A criminal case against him was instituted under Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public distribution of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation).
