“We consider Azerbaijan and Armenia Iran’s neighbors.” So said the Minister of Foreign Affairs Iran Hossain Amir Abdollahian.
According to the Iranian Foreign Minister, Iri “does not regulate … relations based on the superiority of one of the parties over the other.”
Abdollahian assured that Iran does not show interest in the lands of neighboring states, including Azerbaijan, he would not go to them: “However, we clearly declared to all the actors of the Caucasian region that our state will express a serious reaction to any geopolitical changes in the region.”
According to the Foreign Minister, they were assured that there are no such intentions. “We continue to develop our relations with Azerbaijan and other countries of the region on the principles of good neighborliness and fraternity,” said the Foreign Minister.
