As follows from the ANSA photo report from yesterday’s ceremony signing an agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain, the event was attended by Russian businessman Roman Abramovich.
It is specified that in the hall where the agreement was signed, he sat in the forefront. Nothing is known about his status in the framework of the diplomatic procedure.
This is not the first appearance of Roman Abramovich at protocol events after the outbreak of war in Ukraine. At the end of March, journalists also noticed a businessman in negotiations between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul.
The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov later explained that Mr. Abramovich is not an official member of the delegation, but provides “certain contacts” between countries.
