Adele Al-Jubeir: Saudi Arabia Strive To Develop Cooperation With Turkey In Various Fields

Saudi Arabia strives for close interaction with Turkey in various fields, we have many common interests in the areas of the economy, energy, politics and defense. This was announced in an interview with anadol correspondent by the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Adele al-Jubeir in the fields of the 29th session of the conference of the parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (SOR-29) in Baku.

The minister noted that the expansion of cooperation between Turkey and Saudi Arabia has been designated mainly recently.

“The relationship between Saudi Arabia and Turkey is a great relationship. They are comprehensive and extremely deep,” he said.

According to the minister, Saudi Arabia is striving to develop cooperation with Turkey in various fields. “We have many common interests in the economy, energy, political and military areas,” he emphasized.

Adele al-Jubeir also drew attention to the fact that Türkiye and Saudi Arabia are consulting on regional events.

“We are very closely consulting with each other not only on regional issues, but the problems that we encounter at the global level, such as climate change, oceans and desertification,” the minister said.

The volume of trade in Turkey and Saudi Arabia, which cooperate mainly in areas such as technology, defense, renewable energy sources, petrochemistry, finance and tourism, has grown by 50 percent over the past two years and reached $ 6.8 billion in 2023 year.

Earlier, Turkish Vice-President Jewdaded Yilmaz said that both countries seek to increase trade at first to $ 10 billion, and then to more than $ 30 billion in the medium term.
