Affa made changes to limit on legionnaires in Premier League

Today, a meeting of the AFFA Executive Committee was held at the Baku Olympic Stadium.

The following decisions were made:

– From the season 2022/23 in the first division, the clubs will perform “Imontrav”, “Mingyachevir” and “Azraz-Namchvyan”;

– leave the limit on legionnaires according to the system 6+5, while removing the mandatory requirement of one young (up to 21 years) football player in the composition;

– From the season 2022/2023, clubs will be able to declare no more than 14 legionnaires for the season. For each next legionnaire, you need to make a contribution of 50 thousand manat;

– From the season 2023/2024, clubs will be able to declare no more than 12 legionnaires. For each next legionnaire, it will be necessary to make a contribution of 50 thousand manat;

– Leave the same amount of substitutions in the Championship of Azerbaijan – no more than three.

Before the meeting of the executive committee, President AFFA Rovnag Abdullaev got acquainted with the center of VAR, created at the Baku Olympic Stadium. Abdullaev also wished good luck to Vice President Afffa Elkhan Mammadov, who starts work on the post of director of FIFA for the National European Associations.
