After 71 years: Israel and Turkey will sign an aviation agreement

Turkey and Israel on July 7 will sign an agreement in the field of civil aviation, Anadolu reports with reference to the press service of the administration of the Prime Minister of Israel.

As the publication notes, the bilateral document will be signed for the first time in the last 71 years. “The new agreement will strengthen relations with Ankara and allow Israeli airlines to resume flights to Turkey. Such a document is signed for the first time since 1951,” the report said.

It is noted that the signing of the document was agreed on the negotiations between the Civil Aviation Office of Israel and the Turkish structures, as well as following meetings at the level of the heads of the Ministry of Transport. As part of the agreement, the flights of Turkish companies in Israel, as well as the flights of Israeli companies in Turkish airports, will resume.
