A telephone conversation of US Secretary of State and Eurasia, Karen Donfried and Foreign Minister Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan, took place. This was reported by the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
According to the report, Donfried and Mirzoyan exchanged views regarding the settlement of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The US readiness was emphasized to promote the peaceful process in the South Caucasus.
They also touched on the process of demarcation of borders between Azerbaijan and Armenia, border security, as well as unlocking the transport infrastructures of the region.
Note that on December 8, a telephone conversation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jahun Bayramov and Karen Donfried was held.
