In the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, the trial of the criminal case of Orhan Agayaeva, accused of assigning the funds by deception in large scale, was completed.
As reported by the HAQQIN.AZ correspondent, a sentence was read during the meeting. Agayev sentenced to 15 years in prison.
His victims of Orhahan Agayev seemed to be a person with good connections in the tourist sector and having extensive experience and opportunities in this area. He assured that depositors will get a good profit from the investment. Part of the Agayev received from the victims returned in the first months – allegedly as profits. After paying refused, referring to problems with the bank.
According to the indictment, the amount of money assigned to Agayev, amounted to more than 5 million manat. Among the victims were his acquaintances, entrepreneurs, government officials.
Agayev was detained by the main control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to combat organized crime on the basis of citizens’ complaints. In his respect, a criminal case was initiated.
Note that Agaev was educated at an economic university and his education continued in Singapore. After returning to Azerbaijan, he worked in several banks. In 2017, he was brought to responsibility on charges of service life and fraud.
