The anti -aircraft missile regiment of the Army Corps of the Baltic Fleet held at the training ground in the Kaliningrad region of the exercise to repel air attack. In the exercises, the calculations of anti-aircraft missile systems (air defense systems) “Tor-M2”
were involved in the exercises.
More than 100 military personnel and 20 units of military and special equipment took part in the maneuvers. During the teachings of the Tor-M2 air defense system, they were engaged in the search, detection and destruction of more than 20 targets that imitated drones, airborne helicopters and helicopters. The cover of important industrial facilities in the Kaliningrad region was also worked out, Interfax reports.
The exercises were conducted against the background of another exacerbation of relations with the European Union (EU), the cause of which was the restriction of Lithuania since June 18 of the transit of cargo to Kaliningrad. We are talking about goods that fell under the sanctions of the EU. The restrictions affected, in particular, metal products, perfumes, as well as household appliances more than € 750. The region’s authorities said that auto -transportation also fell under restrictions. The Kremlin is preparing retaliatory measures, but called for preparing for the worst.
