In Moscow, on December 4, letters were exchangeed on ratification of the contract on a comprehensive strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the Korean People’s Democratic Republic, signed on June 19 in Pyongyan by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Chairman of the State Affairs of the DPRK Kim Jong-un.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Andrei Rudenko and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK Kim John Guy signed a protocol on the exchange of ratification letters.
Thus, in accordance with Article 22, the Agreement on a comprehensive strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the Korean People’s Democratic Republic entered into force on December 4, 2024 – the date of exchange of ratification letters.
“The entry into force of the contract will contribute to the development of multifaceted bilateral interaction in accordance with the new strategic level of Russian-Korean relations of friendship and cooperation, which meets the purpose of building a new just multipolar world, will make a contribution to the construction of an indivisible security system in northeastern Asia and Asian -Pacific region (ATR) in general, ”the report said.
