Algeria Seeks To Increase Trade With Turkey To $ 10 Billion

Foreign Minister Algeria Ahmed Attaf after a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that Algeria seeks to increase trade with Turkey to $ 10 billion.

According to the report published on the social network of the official news agency of Algeria APS, Fidan and Attaf took part in the third meeting of the joint planning group Turkey Alger.

Attaf spoke about “the results achieved in the relations of Turkey and Algeria as part of the instructions of President Algeria Abdulmede Tebbun and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan”.

“Last year, the volume of our mutual trade reached an unprecedented level, amounting to $ 6 billion, and we strive to increase this indicator up to $ 10 billion in accordance with the instructions of the leaders of the two countries,” the minister said, emphasizing that some obstacles should be overcome to achieve strategic goals.

Attaf noted that the Algerian economy still offers investment opportunities in renewable energy, pharmaceutical industry, bilateral partnerships and many other areas in which they hope to expand cooperation.
