Türkiye in the May elections taught the world “Lesson of Democracy”. This was stated by Anadol by the Chairman of the Council of the Nation (Upper House of Parliament) Algeria Salah Gudel, who was in Ankara in order to participate in the inauguration of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
He noted that the whole world, in particular, Algeria and its people, carefully watched the elections in Turkey.
“Turkey showed us what democracy should be. The turnout amounted to about 90 percent, which became a clear message for those who doubt the democratic maturity of Turkish society,” Gudel emphasized.
The head of the Council of the Nation called the elections in Turkey a “historical event”, during which the Turkish people confirmed the trust of Erdogan.
According to him, the relationship between Ankara and Algeria has a strong basis: “Without a doubt, the relationship will expand, including at the international level.”
