On June 17, Azerbaijan Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with the general secretary of the League of the Arab states Ahmed Abu al-Gat.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the meeting emphasized the importance of the IX Global Baku Forum, expressed confidence that discussions and exchange of views within the framework of the event will contribute to the development of new approaches to solving key issues of the global agenda.
New challenges in the world were discussed, including the current international geopolitical situation, global security issues, the risks of food crisis, the problem of lack of energy, the fight against pandemia and many other issues.
Speaking of regional security against the backdrop of new realities that have developed after the 44-day Patriotic War, Prime Minister Ali Asadov said that Azerbaijan does not spare efforts to turn the South Caucasus into a region of peace, cooperation and interaction. It was emphasized that the restoration of the transportation system in the region promises great prospects in the future and in connection with this is important, the Zangezur corridor is important.
The meeting provided information on the restoration and construction work carried out in the liberated territories, discussed the prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the League of Arab states.
