Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the appointment and activities of representatives of the State Security Service (SGB) in foreign states and international organizations.
The document is published on the official website of the head of state.
According to the decree, in order to increase the effectiveness of cooperation in the field of combating international terrorism, transnational organized crime and cybercrime, as well as in other areas related to the activities of the SGB, the head of the SGB in coordination with the president of Azerbaijan has been granted powers to appoint representatives of the service in foreign countries and international organizations within the framework of the approved staffing.
SGB representatives will also have diplomatic passports.
