Between Baku and Washington, from the first days of independence of Azerbaijan, successful cooperation in various fields has been established. This was stated by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during the reception of assistant US Secretary of State for European and Eurasia James O’Brien in Baku.
Head of state, with satisfaction, recalling his telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, said that a wide range of relations was discussed during him.
James O’Brien, in turn, emphasized US adherence to the promotion of the regional peaceful agenda and the willingness of the United States to support this process.
James O’Brien noted the importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States in various fields, including the further development of our relations at the strategic level. In this context, issues related to regional cooperation, medium corridor, etc. were discussed.
During the conversation, the role of Azerbaijan in the energy security of Europe, cooperation between Azerbaijan and the USA in the energy sector, effective and useful consultations of the delegations of the two countries, held within the framework of the CRS. It was emphasized that the United States will continue to be supported for successful COP29.
