The head of state also noted the important role of Azerbaijan in the search for consensus between developed and developing countries. Under his chairmanship in COP29, Azerbaijan will strive to establish closer relations between the global south and the global north.

In addition, Aliyev noted that with the support of 120 countries, Azerbaijan headed the non -compliance movement, which is the largest institute after the UN.

“Azerbaijan had the opportunity to make a sor29 unanimous decision of almost 200 countries. This is a sign of respect for our country and means an assessment of our active role in the international arena,” the president said.
