45% of the inhabitants of Kherson – the only captured regional center of Ukraine – from the beginning of the war left the city, through humanitarian corridors or independently. Every fifth resident left the Kherson region. This was announced in an interview with Ukrinform by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Gennady Laguta.
Before the war, about 290 thousand people lived in Kherson, and about 1 million people in the entire Kherson region.
