Development of cooperation in the field of justice, the fight against corruption, the introduction of innovation – these topics today discussed the Minister of Justice Fickret Mamedov with Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Baku Bakhrom Ashrafhanov.
Expressing the development of bilateral relations between the countries, the head of the Ministry of Justice emphasized the special role of the heads of state in the development of bilateral relations, especially noting the support of friendly Uzbekistan during the Patriotic War. Related by the legal framework of relationships, he recalled that last year, within the framework of the Tashkent Legal Spring Forum, the Ministry of Justice of the two countries signed a new cooperation program.
The Ashrafkhanov Ambassador, in turn, stressed the successful development of bilateral relations, noted that he visited the territory of the diplomatic corps liberated from the occupation of the territory, expressing satisfaction with the restoration of peace in the region.
During the conversation, measures were noted on the effective implementation of the signed cooperation program, including the study of best practices. In particular, the ambassador emphasized that Uzbekistan exhibits a great interest in reforms conducted in Azerbaijan, digital innovations in the field of justice, as well as the ASAN model – the latter is already being introduced in the country.
Parties also agreed to conduct practical training in Azerbaijan for Uzbekistan employees. In addition, Fickret Mamedov, informed the ambassador about the activities of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Bodies, whose vice president he is, invited Uzbekistan to take part in her work. The offer was met with satisfaction.
