January 28, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Azerbaijan Mikhail Evdokimov was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Azerbaijan Republic.

According to this information, during the meeting it was noted that publications in the Russian press, as well as some official circles of Russia and the distribution of disinformation reports against Azerbaijan, gives rise to misunderstandings.
The ambassador stated that this contradicts the content and spirit of the declaration of an allied interaction between the Azerbaijan Republic and the Russian Federation.
It was emphasized that the results of a preliminary investigation of the tragic crash of the aircraft belonging to the Azerbaijani Airlines are known, work is underway to complete the investigation, and expectations from the Russian side regarding the crash of the aircraft are openly declared.
