On November 10, a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine Nikolai Doroshenko was held at the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reports.
The report says that “a serious concern was brought to the ambassador in connection with the media that is common in the media by the unreasonable statement of the representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on the alleged supply of dual -purpose products bypassing existing sanctions restrictions”.
The Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan emphasized the inadmissibility of the distribution of inaccurate information regarding Uzbekistan in the media. At the same time, the Foreign Ministry announced their readiness to study the official appeals of the Ukrainian side to study the questions of interest and present objective information.
The reason for the call of the Ukrainian ambassador to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry was the statements of the representative of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadim Skibitsky, who in an interview with the Italian publication La Repubblica called Uzbekistan among countries helping Rosisi to avoid Western sanctions.
