Britain will not be able to avoid response measures for the breakdown of France’s contract for submarines for Australia, said the former British ambassador to Peter Ricketts.
“France recalls ambassadors in Washington and Canberre, but not in London. This suggests that Paris considers the USA and Australia the main organizers of the conspiracy, and Britain is only an accomplice,” the diplomat said, reports RIA Novosti with reference to Daily Mail .
The ex-ambassador noted that London would still not be able to avoid further measures from Paris, France will punish all three parties who selected her order for the construction of a submarine, Ricketts sure.
Earlier, France decided to withdraw ambassadors from the United States and Australia after the contract was lost on the creation of atomic submarines due to the new Aukus partnership (Australia, United Kingdom and the USA) in the field of defense and security.
