American experts: Ukraine broke course of war, but

The Ukrainian army inflicted a major defeat of Russia, having conquered almost the entire Kharkov region during a quick counterattack, according to the summary of the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW). This success was the result of a campaign, including the maximum use of Western weapons systems.

Experts note that a long discussion, and then the announcement of Kyiv on a counter -shorting operation, aimed at the Kherson region, distracted Russian troops from sectors on which Ukrainian forces held decisive attacks in the past few days. The Armed Forces of Ukraine used Himars and other Western systems for attacks on Russian ground -based communication lines in the Kharkov and Kherson regions, creating the conditions for the success of the operation. The Ukrainian authorities defiantly discussed blows in the south, successfully misleading the Russians regarding their intentions in the Kharkov region.

The current counterattack will not put an end to the war, ISW experts note. The campaign in the northeast of Ukraine will eventually end, which will allow Russian troops to restore a stable defensive line and, possibly, even hold local counterattacks.

Experts indicate. that Ukraine will have to start new counterattacks in order to complete the liberation of the territory captured by Russia, in connection with this, the war will most likely delay until 2023.

Ukraine broke the course of the war in its favor. Now Kyiv, it will be possible to increasingly dictate the place and nature of the main military operations, and Russia is increasingly inadequate to respond to growing physical and psychological pressure from Ukraine, American experts conclude.
