Against the background of the threat of a possible invasion of Russia to Ukraine, US State Department warned American citizens from travel to Belarus, the Republic of Moldova and Transnistria. Relevant notifications are posted on the website of the American Foreign Ministry. They refer to Deutsche Vella.
Recommendation Do not enter Belarus is connected “with an unusual and inspired concern” by the increase in Russia of military forces on the border of Belarus with Ukraine, arbitrary use of Minsk laws, the risk of detention, as well as a coronavirus pandemic, is noted in alert.
US citizens located in Belarus or considering the possibility of a trip there, “you should know that the situation is unpredictable and in the region there is an increased tension,” there is a statement by the American foreign policy department.
“Americans located in Belarus should immediately leave the country with commercial or private transport,” added in the State Department.
In relation to the Transnistria in the department, noted that those who entered it could face difficulties at checkpoints. Photographing military facilities and security staff is prohibited and can lead to trouble with the authorities, warned in US State Department. Transnistria is also recommended to leave immediately.
From traveling to Moldova, the State Department called on to refuse both due to the situation with the spread of coronavirus, and with the unusual and concern of the military activity of Russia around Ukraine, as well as with a unresolved conflict between Transnistria and the Government in Chisinau.
