Americans met with Taliban in Qatar

Motion representatives of the Taliban held negotiations with the delegation of American diplomats in Qatar. It is reported by Al Jazeera TV channel.

According to the report of the TV channel, the Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, Amir Khan Mottaki, noted that during the conversation, the provision of humanitarian aid Kabul and the implementation of the Dauhi Treaty, according to which the Taliban promised not to use the Afghan territory for actions that pose a US security threat and their allies .

In addition, the representative of the Taliban stressed that the movement “offered the American side to open a new page in relations between Kabul and Washington”, but at the same time urged Americans to “respect the sovereignty of Afghanistan and not interfere with his internal affairs.”

According to Mottaki, American diplomats promised to provide Afghanistan vaccine against coronavirus.

The meeting of the Taliban and American diplomats took place in Doha for the first time since the conclusion of US troops from Afghanistan. Negotiations will continue for two days, until Sunday, October 10th.
