The US Department of Trade has published a new application to the list of American goods prohibited for export (as well as foreign re -export) to Russia and Belarus. In addition to luxury items, the ban on which was introduced last spring, relatively inexpensive goods were blacklisted, Israeli Channel 9 writes.
It includes coffee machines, toasters, as well as plates and ovens worth more than 300 dollars, wireless desktop phones at a price of more than $ 100 per set, smartphones at a price of more than $ 300, cassette tape recorders (including executives), smoke exhausters at a price of more than $ 300 , wall and floor fans, refrigerators and many other household electrical appliances.
The Americans may have decided to deprive Russia of everything that can be extracted from at least some details for electric circuits and electronic mechanisms. A few days ago, the Deputy Minister of Finance of the United States, Wally Adaimo announced that the defense industry in Russia “uses semiconductors extracted from products such as refrigerators and microwaves.”
In order to sell goods included in Russia, included in the forbidden list, exporters or re -exporters are required to receive a special license from the American Ministry of Trade, which is issued in exceptional cases.
