Foreign citizens who visited Azerbaijan in January-October 2022 carried out operations through bank cards worth 1 billion 819.1 million manat ($ 1.07 billion), Interfax-Azerbaijan reports with reference to the data center for the analysis of economic reforms and communications.
According to the estimates of the Interfax-Azerbaijan agency, compared with January-October 2021, the volume of banking operations performed by foreign citizens increased 1.9 times.
In January, the volume of operations amounted to 204.7 million manat, February – 186.5 million manat, March – 158.5 million manat, April – 136.6 million manat, May – 184.1 million manat, June – 203 , 6 million manat, in July – 213.6 million manat, in August – 214.6 million manat (maximum indicator from the beginning of 2022 – IF), in September – 155.5 million manat, in October – 149 million manat.
According to the results of 2021, foreign tourists in Azerbaijan performed operations through bank cards in the amount of 1.3 billion manat ($ 764.7 million), which is 3 times more than in 2020.
