The Treaty on Allied Relations between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan entered into force. On Monday, March 31, the press service of the head of the Uzbek state reports.
Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Bakhtier Saidov and Tajik Foreign Minister Sirozhiddin Mukhriddin signed the protocol and exchanged ratification letters, officially introducing an allied relationship between the two countries.
The ceremony took place in Khujand in the presence of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
Initially, the contract was signed on April 18, 2023 in Dushanbe as part of a bilateral summit at the highest level.
Since the exchange of ratification letters, the document entered into force, opening a new stage of strategic partnership and strengthening multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
