In Ankara, an event was held on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the independence of Tajikistan.
The event was held in one of the hotels of the Turkish capital with the participation of the Minister of Youth and Sports of Turkey Osman Ashkyn Baka, the rector of the University of the University of Tajikistan, the ambassador of Tajikistan in Ankara Ashrafjon Gulov and other senior guests.
First, the state hymns of the two countries sounded. Then the event continued with performances.
Ambassador Gulov noted that gaining independence is the biggest success of the Tajik people.
According to him, during the period of independence, many infrastructure projects were implemented, Tajikistan strengthened relations with other foreign states.
The diplomat recalled that Turkey was one of the first countries that recognized the independence of Tajikistan. Relations between the two countries are at a high level, he said.
Gulov emphasized that Mevlan Jalaladdin Rumi laid the foundation for cultural cooperation between Turkish and Tajik peoples.
The ambassador also recalled that Tajikistan sent humanitarian aid to Turkey and a group of rescuers of 50 people after destructive February earthquakes.
After the performances, the tank and guls cut a cake with the image of the flags of the two countries.
Guests were treated to Tajik cuisine dishes.
