A earthquake of magnitude 3.5 occurred on Monday in the Lerik district of Azerbaijan in the south of the country, the Republican Center for the Seismological Service at the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (Nana).

According to the operational data of the seismologists, the underground shocks were recorded at 15:28 Baku time.
“According to the Earth Studies Bureau, at 15:28 local time 10 km north of the Lickian Seismological Station in the territory of the Lerik district, the earthquake was registered,” the statement said.
The focus of the earthquake lay at a depth of 31 km.
Underground shocks by force up to 3 points were felt by local residents.
