A earthquake of magnitude 4.9 was recorded on Friday in the northeast of Iran, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center said.
The epicenter was 45 km south of the city of Mashhead. The hearth lay at a depth of 8 km.
Information about the victims and destruction was not received.
