Istanbul jewelry exhibition (̇stanbul Jewelry Show) opened its doors for visitors.
Istanbul Jewelry Show, one of the 5 largest jewelry exhibitions in the world, will receive its visitors within four days.
The exhibition has collected on its site more than 27 thousand representatives of the jewelry industry from more than 140 countries – from the USA to India.
As part of the event, a ceremony of awarding leading exporters of the jewelry sector was held.
The award ceremony was attended by the Governor of Istanbula Davut Gul, the president of the Turkish exporters (TİM) Mustafa Gultepa and the head of the Burak Yakin jewelry exporters Association.
“We pay special attention to the jewelry industry. In 2022, the products of the Turkish jewelry sector were exported to 169 countries. The volume of Turkish jewelry exports in 2022 reached $ 5.8 billion. The growth of sector sales continues in its previous pace. Over the first 9 months of the current The sector exported its products in the amount of $ 4.7 billion, which is 13 percent higher than the same period of 2022, ”said the President of Tİm.
Gultepa noted that contrary to the fact that the jewelry industry exports its products to 160 countries, most of the sales falls on three countries.
“The exhibition will support the sector in terms of increasing the share of sales in the markets in other countries,” added Tİm President.
