As a result of the explosion at the Kamkhut mountain training ground in the Shirak region, assigned to the 102nd military base of the Russian Armed Forces in Gyumri, one person died, Sputnik Armenia reports.
It is reported that the shepherd from the neighboring village of Vagramerd was born in 1957. Teachings at the training ground at this time were not conducted.
“The shell could remain from the previous exercises. There are also ditches for the removal of mudflows. Water could catch shells and transfer to another place. Maybe the shepherd saw a shell and went up to it,” said the representative of the municipality.
The landfill is closed for car travel, but it is impossible to block the territory of 100 hectares.
