An Informal Summit Of Heads Of State Of Organization Of Turkic States Takes Place In Shusha

In Shusha, an informal summit of the heads of the state of the organization of the Turkic states (OTG) is held, the press service of the presidential administration of Azerbaijan on Saturday, July 6.

На неформальной встрече высокого уровня принимают участие президент Азербайджана Ильхам Алиев, президент Казахстана Касым-Жомарт Токаев, президент Узбекистана Шавкат Мирзиёев, президент Кыргызстана Садыр Жапаров, вице-президент Турции Джевдет Йылмаз, генеральный секретарь ОТГ Кубанычбек Омуралиев, а также в президент Турецкой Republics of the Northern Cyprus (having an observer status in the organization) Ersin Tatars, and the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban.

In the work of the summit, organized on behalf of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, presidents and senior officials from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan take part.

Turkey at the summit is represented by Vice President Jewdad Yilmaz. The event is also attended by the leaders of the observers of the OTG -Turkmenistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRSK) and Hungary.

The theme of the informal Summit of OTG will be “building a stable future through transport interconnectedness and combating climate change”.

Leaders will discuss issues of strengthening the average corridor and other transport relations, as well as preparation for the 29th conference of the parties to the UN Frame Convention on Climate Change (COP 29), which Azerbaijan will receive on November 11-22.

The event provides for the adoption of a number of joint documents regarding the projects of OTG and the Karabakh declaration.

The Council of Foreign Ministers of the OTG will have to coordinate before the summit items of the agenda of the event and documents that will be signed by the heads of state.
