Russian air defense systems shot down an unidentified drone in the sky above the Kaluga region, and another drone managed to hide, said the governor of the region Vladislav Shapsha in his Telegram channel.
“After the defeat of air defense, the wreckage fell in a deserted area. There are no victims, there is also no damage to civilian infrastructure,” he wrote. No one was injured from the explosion, the infrastructure and equipment were not damaged, there is no threat to the airport to work.
The official responded to questions about how the drone flew unnoticed through neighboring areas. “All clarifying questions in this situation are not appropriate. I ask you to refrain from speculation and assessments,” answered Vladislav Shapsha.
It is known that there were two drones over the Kaluga region. One was destroyed, but the second managed to fly away.
