In the capital of Uzbekistan Tashkent, the II International Conference of Lawyers was held, dedicated to the topic “Prospects for the development of the advocacy: the experience of Uzbekistan and foreign countries.” The event was attended by specialized structures from 20 countries. According to information, the main goal of the conference was the consideration of expert opinions of representatives of colleges of lawyers of foreign countries regarding the exchange of experience and prospects for the advocacy in the Digitalization Age, familiarizing themselves with advanced experience and the search for solutions to free legal assistance.
Speaking at the first plenary session on the topic “Free legal assistance and Pro Bono: the experience of the Azerbaijan Republic since 2018”, the chairman of the college of lawyers Anar Bagirov and the member of the collegium Gulshan Salmanov spoke about the forensic reforms carried out in Azerbaijan, measures to improve the influence of the institution of advocacy in the country, improve legislation, as well as upcoming tasks.
“We got a unique opportunity to directly familiarize ourselves with the experience of Uzbekistan and foreign countries on various topical issues,” Bagirov said.
After the four representatives of the Bar Azerbaijani Bar Azerbaijani acted as speakers at the plenary meetings of the forum.
During bilateral meetings with the heads of colleges of lawyers of a number of countries as part of the forum, Anar Bagirov exchanged opinions about closer and mutually beneficial cooperation.
In addition, the chairman of the collegium and members of the delegation met with a member of the college of lawyers and the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan Ali Nasirley, a native of Shusha, who has been living in Uzbekistan for many years.
