Today the third season of the Football League of Lawyers (VFL) was completed.
The championship started in early April and was held according to all the requirements of the pandemic time. In the tradition of tradition, members of Azerbaijan’s lawyers participated in the tradition. The competition was devoted to the victory of our country in the Patriotic War. In this regard, the team decided to change their names. Thus, in the championship for prizes, the “lawyer Hankendi”, “Absheron-Shusha”, “Barrister-Jabrail”, “Adalat-Agdam”, “Kyapyaz-Murov”, “Loieres-Ergunesh”, “Inter-Lachin” , “Sumgaite regional-gubadla” and “Veterans-Hudaperin”.
In total, 86 lawyers and 10 lawyers took part in VFL. The championship was held in one circle. The winner for the third time in a row was the team of “lawyer Hankendi”, who won eight victories in eight matches. The second place at Barrister-Jabrail, at the 3rd position setting up “adalat-Agdam”.
The best scorer of the tournament and the best player became the football player of the winning team Ismail Babaev. The best goalkeeper is also recognized by the Footballer “Lawyer Hankendi” Jeyhun Bayramov, who missed only seven goals for eight matches.
It should be noted that, according to the signed Memorandum on cooperation between the Board of Lawyers and the Baku State University in the Championship at an extra-competitive basis, the team of the Law Faculty of BSU took part.
The League was organized with the assistance of AFFA, which delegated its judges, and also registered all participants as amateur football players.
Today, after the final match, the closure and award ceremony took place, during which the head of the Bar of lawyers Anar Bagirov, a member of the Presidium and Football Coordinator of the Elchin Usub, head of the Department of Mass Football Affa Farruh Ismailov and others.
Law Football originated in Azerbaijan in August 2017, when the team of our lawyers took part in the tournament in the Ukrainian Lviv. Then a “lawyer” team was created, which began to perform in the amateur championship of Azerbaijan on futsal, and in 2019 he achieved great success, breaking through the Cup Final in which professional teams participated.
If we talk about international successes, in 2018, the Azerbaijani lawyer team ranked 3rd in Vilnius at the tournament, in which teams from Eastern Europe and Italy participated. In October 2019, at the tournament in Baku, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Azerbaijani lawyer, the first two places were taken by teams from Azerbaijan. In total, 16 teams from ten countries took part in the competition.
Thanks to these successes, the board of lawyers of Azerbaijan was adopted in the organization Mundiavocat ILFF (International Football Federation of Lawyers).
