UN Secretary-General Anthony Guterrysh is very concerned about Russia’s decision to recognize the independence of “Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics”. This is stated in the statement of the official representative of Guterrish Stephen Duzharrik, which is distributed on Monday, reports TASS.
According to him, Guterrish called for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in the east of Ukraine in accordance with Minsk agreements enshrined by the Security Council resolution.
“The Secretary-General considers the decision of the Russian Federation as a violation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, which does not meet the principles of the UN Charter,” said Duzharrik.
According to the representative of the General Generies, Guterrish calls upon all the involvement of the parties to concentrate their efforts to ensure the immediate termination of violence, to protect civilians and civil infrastructure, on abstinence from any actions and applications that can lead to an even greater escalation of a dangerous situation in Ukraine and Around her, as well as put diplomacy in priority for a peaceful solution to all questions.
